La Casagran is situated in a privileged setting, at the crossroads between three transhumance routes and which was once the ancient royal route through the area.
It is a very old building with the first records dating back to the 13th Century. It was originally used as a hostel for the transhumance and merchants that passed through here. From the 14th to the 15th century Casagran was used as the Jury Council of Lluçanés.
Today, the house has been fully restored, preserving its original structure.
Since 2011 La Casagran has been categorized with FOUR EARS OF WHEAT by the Direcció General de Turisme del Departament d’innovació, Universitat I Empresa de la Generalitat de Catalunya.
